A drunk driver hit Miller in 2001. The crash had left her with severe medical and physical disabilities, and put her in four weeks of coma. After months of rehabilitation she was able to return home, but her house at the time had narrow hallways and a tiny bathroom that was unsuitable for a wheelchair. Now volunteers are fixing up a donated house that will be more assessable for Miller.
